Terms and Conditions of Booking, Purchases and Engagement
1. The Booking Retainer & Payment
To secure your photoshoot date in the diary, a £60 non-refundable booking retainer is required.
Your session is not confirmed until this retainer is paid.
This £60 covers the time of the shoot and the creation of your proofing gallery. It does not include any final digital images or physical prints, which are purchased separately after you view your gallery (unless a specific package has been agreed upon prior).
Any final package balances must be paid in full before high-resolution digital images or print products are released.
2. Cancellations & UK Weather
As an outdoor photographer, shoots are entirely dependent on the weather. If it is heavily raining or conditions are unsafe for the dogs, the session will be rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date at no extra cost.
If you need to reschedule for personal reasons, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. The £60 retainer will be transferred to your new date (maximum of one reschedule).
If you cancel the shoot entirely or fail to show up on the day, the £60 booking retainer is forfeit to cover lost time and turning away other clients.
3. Safety, Behaviour & Liability
Outdoor shoots often involve varied, uneven woodland terrain. Both the owner and the pet should be in good health and able to comfortably cope with these environments.
I will never knowingly or willingly put either the pet or the owner at risk, nor will I ask you to perform any dangerous actions. However, any action taken during the session is completely the responsibility of the client, and Wild's Pet Photography is not liable for any injury or accident involving the animal or the owner.
You know your dog best. The owner is responsible for the dog's safety and behaviour at all times during the shoot.
Dogs must be fully vaccinated and cleared by a vet to walk in public spaces.
If your dog needs to remain on a lead for safety or recall reasons, that is absolutely fine. Leads can be professionally removed during the editing process where required.
4. Copyright & Image Usage
Wild's Pet Photography retains the overarching copyright to all images taken during the session.
When you purchase digital images, you are granted a license for personal use. You are highly encouraged to share them with friends, family, and on social media!
However, to protect the professional standard of the brand, clients are not permitted to alter the final images in any way. This includes applying Instagram/phone filters, cropping, or further editing the photos.
Images may not be sold or used for commercial purposes (e.g., selling to a dog food brand) without explicit written consent.
Under no circumstances are unedited or RAW files provided to the client unless a specific, separate commercial agreement has been arranged in advance.
5. Gallery Delivery
Following your session, you will typically receive a watermarked, low-resolution digital proof gallery within 14 days. Please note that during busy periods there may occasionally be a slight delay, but you will always be kept informed of realistic timeframes.
This gallery is for viewing and selection purposes only and will remain active for 3 months.
Once you have selected and paid for your final images or package, the high-resolution, unwatermarked files will be delivered digitally.
6. Printed Products
All physical prints, canvases, and printed products are fulfilled by a trusted, professional external print lab.
Delivery timelines for these products are entirely dependent on the external lab's current production schedule and workload.
While I personally check the quality of all printed products before they are handed over, the client has 48 hours (2 days) from the time of receiving the goods to contact me to report any damages or quality issues so they can be rectified.
7. Gift Vouchers
All gift vouchers are valid for 12 months (1 year) from the date of purchase.
In exceptional circumstances, and solely at the discretion of Wild's Pet Photography, this validity period may be extended.
The purchaser of the gift voucher is entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period. If you change your mind within 14 days of the purchase date, a full refund will be provided.
